Flute Fill Options for Metal Retrofit Projects

Standing seam metal panels are a common roof covering on commercial buildings that provide a durable, stylish, and essentially maintenance-free roof system. But like all building materials, they do not last forever. At the end of their service life, owners must decide on how to re-roof their building; with single-ply membranes providing a viable option.

In metal standing seam retrofits, high-density polyiso or gypsum cover boards are typically installed as a substrate to create a flat, stable surface to support the membrane. Material must also be installed to fill the flute area between the standing seams. Cut polyiso insulation is a popular choice, but an often-overlooked option is expanded polystyrene (EPS) flute fill.

Versico’s EPS Flute Fill can provide up to a 50% cost savings compared to alternative solutions, and typically is available with a shorter lead time. Available in square and bevel cuts in custom lengths and widths, Versico’s EPS Flute Fill can meet all job-specific requirements.
